Abrehatsion Tesfamariam Ghebremicael

January 24, 1939 — September 3, 2023

Abrehatsion Tesfamariam Ghebremicael - was born from Her parents Mr. Tesfamariam Gebremichael and her mother Mrs. Letezgi Gebremichael on January 24, 1939 in Zeban Una Eritrea. Much to the sadness of her family and friends, she passed away at age 84 on September 3, 2023 in Nashville Tennessee.

Mrs. Ghebremicael is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, Tesfaledet Habteab; daughters, Frewoin, Guenet, Saba, Senait; sons, Fitsum, Benyam, Yonas; grandchildren, Salome, Abel, Alex, Rachel, Selina, Delina, Davina, David, Angel, Jacob; great-grandchild, Isabel; brothers, Abraham, Tekle, and Habte. Mrs. Ghebremicael is predeceased by her sister Hedega.

Mrs. Ghebremicael was the epitome of strength, selflessness and unconditional love. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and a friend, and in her eyes no one was a stranger. Her motherly love was the heartbeat of Tesfaledet family. She thought her children many valuable life lessons and lived by example as she raised them. She never thought twice to help others especially those who she deemed less fortunate. A soft hearted caring individual, and that was just her nature!

Anyone that came across Mrs. Ghebremicael or Emaye (as her children called her) was always left with good feeling because she had a gentle soul and infectious personality that delights you.

Mrs Ghebremicael had an immense love for cooking and baking traditional and non-traditional, old and new recipes. She was at her happiest when she prepared wonderful meals for her extended family and friends, which in return gave her an experience of pure bliss.

Life is a gift, love is a gift, and when both are bestowed, you have a life well lived, and this is just how Mrs. Ghebremicael lived.  She had a life well lived!

Your absence has left a void that can not be filled. We love you immensely. Rest in Peace!
