Almeida "Skeeter" Engelhardt, 92, passed away December 20, 2016 Nashville, TN. She was from Terry, Mississippi. In her spare time she spent a lot of time participating in her church choir. She also loved volunteering at Baptist Hospital where she was the president of Volunteer service from 1973 until 1977. Skeeter was the President of the Woman's Club of Terry as well as the president of the PTA. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Lena Taylor; husband; Ray Engelhardt; and son in law Gary Whitman. Skeeter is survived by her children, Donna E. Whitman, Paul Engelhardt, and Rick Engelhardt; sister's in law Nell Eley and Doaine Jahn; grandchildren, Seth Dunn, Sarah (Jeremy) Dunn, Skeeter Deloach, Dustin Engelhardt; great grandchildren, Aiden and Lily Finison. In lieu of flowers please donate to Alive Hospice, 1718 Patterson Street, Nashville TN 37203, or to your favorite charity. Visitation will be held at West Harpeth Funeral Home on Dec. 23, 2016, from 11:00am until 1:00pm, with a Celebration of Life following directly after at 1:00p.m. The place of internment will be at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens following the service.
