Altie Alta Maynard Vanderpool, 87 of Hendersonville TN passed away March 15, 2012. She was born March 12, 1925 in Overton County TN to the late Audon and Audie Greer Maynard. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of almost 69 years, Eld. H.C. Vanderpool; sister Aline Maynard Johnson; brother, Atwell Maynard; and granddaughter, Dawn Vanderpool Smith. She is survived by her son, Bobby Rebecca Vanderpool; granddaughter, Robyn Brian Smith; and great grandson, Ben Smith, all of Hendersonville. She is also survived by sister, Alvilee Paul Clark of Athens, TN; sisters-in-law, Cornelia Reed Hackett of Gordonsville; Ethelene Maynard of Mt. Juliet, TN; and brother-in-law, Glenn Dianne Vanderpool of Bowling Green, KY. She was a minister's wife for 63 years and was also a minister's daughter. She was a member at Victory Missionary Baptist Church, Hendersonville TN. Visitation will be Saturday at the Victory Missionary Baptist Church from 4 to 8 on 3-17-12. The service will be at Victory Missionary Baptist Church on Sunday 3-18-12 with visitation at the church beginning at 2:00.
