Mr. Arlie Eugene Thompson, age 80, of Nashville passed away Thursday, January 4, 2018. He was born June 30, 1937 in Kingston Springs, TN to the late Joseph Sterling and Irene Elizabeth (Curtis) Thompson. Eugene loved antique cars, playing baseball, going to Bluegrass Festivals and attending family gatherings.

Eugene is survived by his brother, Stanley Thompson of Bon Aqua; brother, Billy Thompson of Nashville; sister, Ruby Duke (Jimmy) of Pegram; sister, Loretta Cantrell of Pegram; nieces and nephews, Camara, Stuart, Trudy (Steve), Lori, Wayne (Deceased), Jason, Dalton, Harley, Sturlyn, Barbie, Matthew and Cody.

The family will receive friends at West Harpeth Funeral Home Sunday, Jan 7th from 2-5 p.m., Monday Jan 8th from 10 a.m. -8 p.m. and Tuesday, Jan. 9th from 8 a.m. until 12 noon. A celebration of life funeral service will follow visitation in the chapel of West Harpeth Funeral Home with Preacher Jeremy Stover officiating. Interment will follow services in Harpeth Hills Cemetery. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
