Mr. Austin P. Roberts entered into eternal rest in our Father's Kingdom on January 20, 2015. Mr. Roberts is preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Mary L. Roberts, parents, Welton and Ora Roberts, sister, Mrs. Frances Champion. He is survived by his daughter, Michelle and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Roberts was a retired supervisor for A.D.T. Security and Alarm Services. He retired in 1991, with 37 years of association with A.D.T. He served with the First Marine Division during the Korean War and in combat from Inchon to Chosin Reservoir and one of the few to survive the battle. He always upheld the Marine Code of Honor, Semper-Fi. He is a member of the American Legion and also The Chosin Few. Honorary pall bearers are: Mike Stanfill, Reginald Watts, and the retired troops at McDonalds Coffee Club. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Marine Military Academy, 320 Iwo Jima Blvd. Harlingen, TX 78550-9980. Visitation will be Friday, January 23 from 3-8pm at West Harpeth Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Saturday at 1pm with one hour visitation before the service. Interment to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. West Harpeth Funeral Home 352-9400.
