Barbara "Nanny" Martin- Age 79, passed away November 24, 2015. She is preceded in death by husband, George (Sonny) Martin.
Barbara is survived by children, Wayne (Betty) Martin, Jim (Patsy) Martin, Larry (Sherry) Martin, David (Helen) Martin, Randy (Sherrie) Martin, Dennis (Lisa) Martin, and Julia Clem; brothers, Larry and Michael Spray; sister, Sharon Chilando; fourteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild arriving in December.
Nanny will be greatly missed by all of her neighbors who loved her so much. She lived a full and exemplary life, and always tried hard to be a good person and would help anyone she could. She also loved the holidays and decorating her house and yard for everyone to enjoy. Her grandsons will be serving as pall bearers.
A Celebration of Life will be Monday, November 30 2015, at 10:00am, at West Harpeth Funeral Home with Alex Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:00pm until 8:00pm, and on Monday from 9:00am until the service hour at West Harpeth Funeral Home & Crematory, 6962 Charlotte Pike; (615) 352-9400.
