Alsup, Bettye Jean - Nashville, TN passed peacefully on October 26, 2015. She was an active employee of the State of TN, Probation and Parole for 63 years. In 1965, she became the first female Probation/Parole officer in Tennessee. Her knowledge and dedication was an inspiration to many. Preceded in death by her father, Richard Alsup and mother Lee Katzenmiller. Survived by sisters, Carolyn (Larry) Walker, Mary Harlan, Dorothy Wilkins and Voncile Little; brothers, Phillip (Martha) Katzenmiller, Randy (Lou Ann) and Robert (Shirley) Katzenmiller; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. A Celebration of Life will be on Sunday, November 1, 2015, at 2:00pm, at West Harpeth Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be on Sunday from 12:00pm until the service time at 2:00pm.
