Brian Kendrick Ross, 62, September 4, 2023 entered into the eternal life. He was a friend, brother, learner, dreamer, drummer, artist, drag racing enthusiast, and a believer. He got a GED after going to high school at Overton and studied carpentry at a state technical school in Middle TN. After his schooling, he worked mowing lawns and as a drummer in a rock band. For more than 30 years he worked as a custodian in Metro Schools.
Brian touched the lives of those around him by his quiet kindness, his willingness to help, and his creative sense of humor. He was known to be a beloved friend. In the last 6 months, he was a fighter, battling cancer. We thank all the nurses, physical and occupational therapists, care partners, and doctors who cared for him at Vanderbilt, Select Specialty Hospital, Stallworth Rehab Hospital, and Alive Hospice.
Brian was preceded in death by his father, Carl Ross, mother, Eloise Ross, and sister, Janet Ross.
He leaves behind his sister, Betsy Ketsdever (Tom) and nephew Nathan Samuel Ketsdever, all of Nashville. He also leaves aunts, uncles, and a multitude of cousins and friends.
