Bruce Rognstad

Bruce Anton Rognstad, age 84, of Hendersonville, TN, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Bruce was a loving husband and father, who will be remembered for his volunteer spirit. He was a volunteer with Saint Timothy Lutheran Church, where he was a member for 37 years, the Boy Scouts of America, Meals on Wheels, and as a fireman. Bruce is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis Rognstad, children, Sigurd Tracy Rognstad, Lorraine Rognstad, Jill Keith Davenport, Glen Sara Rognstad, Gail Matt Mendians, and Vicki Boaz, 22 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff at Highpoint Hospice for the care they showed Bruce during his illness. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Saint Timothy Lutheran Church or to The Alzheimer's Association. A visitation will be held on Monday, May 6, 2013 from 4-7pm at Hendersonville Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at 10am at Saint Timothy Lutheran Church in Hendersonville, with interment to follow in Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
