Carol Arnold (McClain) St. Germain - Born September 10, 1929 in Starkville MS, passed away peacefully September 4, 2018. She was a gifted classical pianist, and a founding member of the Nashville Symphony Chorus, performing in numerous productions including the opera "Tosca". Carol earned her Master's degree in Social Work and worked with the Nashville Children's Foster Care Program. While living most of her life in Tennessee, she was adventurous and loved to travel, eager to experience all that life offered. Carol was a unique and independent individual, an avid reader, and very creative, enjoying sewing, needlework, and mastering the violin. Her awareness of both human and animal needs was ever-present, and she loved the serenity of nature.

She is preceded in death by her mother, father, sister, and brother. She is held in loving memory by her children Marga Suzanne Madir, Lucy Carole Howell, Boyce Barry Howell, daughter-in-law Kathy Howell, and grandchildren Jia and Charlie.

Donations to your favorite charity are requested in lieu of flowers. Visitation will be held Wed. Sept. 12, 2018 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at West Harpeth Funeral Home, 6962 Charlotte Pike,
Nashville TN 37209. At a later date in a family service her ashes will be placed at Christ Church Cathedral Columbarium.
