Carol Anglin Harris, 71, of Nashville, passed away on Monday, July 18, 2022. She was born on November 27, 1950, to the late Raymond Clyde and Mary Elizabeth Treadway Anglin. She was a member of Forest Grove United Methodist Church of Joelton. Carol retired from Metro Nashville Public schools in 2013 after teaching for over 40 years. During her teaching career, she was named Teacher of the Year at Old Center Elementary School as well as Morny Elementary School. After retirement, she worked as a reading interventionist at Dodson Elementary School. Outside of teaching, Carol enjoyed reading and spending time at the beach. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and her grandchildren.
Carol leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters, Elizabeth (William) Drewry, and Rachel Harris; grandchildren, Alexandra, Ian, and Lucy; siblings, Ray (Ann) Anglin, Don (Carmalita) Anglin, and Amy Anglin; a host of nieces and nephews; and her granddog, Ellie.
The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until 2:00PM on Friday, July 22, 2022, at West Harpeth Funeral Home located at 6962 Charlotte Pike in Nashville. Services will begin at 2:00PM in the funeral home chapel. A graveside service will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at the Fountainhead Cemetery in Byhalia, Mississippi.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Forest Grove United Methodist Church in Joelton, TN in Carol’s honor.
