HUGHES, Charles Percy- Age 86, of Fairview, June 2nd, 2012. A generous and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was passionate about his work and hobbies, especially playing the guitar. He worked 42 years at Nashville Bridge Company. He served his country in Company E, 320th Infantry Regiment of the US Army during World War II in the European Theatre for which he received a Bronze Star. Preceded in death by parents, Rosa Myrtle Gomer Hughes and Jim Henry Hughes; siblings, Les, Tom and Gomer Hughes, Bea Hall and Marie Moss. Survived by wife of 62 years, Nola Mae Cobb Hughes; children, Theresa and Danielle Hughes McGee; grandchildren, Barry McGee and Ashley McGee Maddux Cody; and nieces and nephews. The life celebration will be at 2pm on Monday, June 4, 2012 at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
