POWERS, CSM Clarence S. "Stan" - Age 88 years, passed away September 20, 2013. Stan retired as Command Stg. Major combat engineer 82nd Airborne Division, Ft. Bragg, NC. He served in the WWII, Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was a member of the VFW Post 1970, and the West Nashville Moose Lodge. All of his various military accomplishments will be displayed during the visitation. Preceded in death by his parents; sons, Thomas Gregory Powers and David Stanley Powers; first wife, Carolyn Powers. Survived by wife, Edna Powers; siblings, Edie Oakley, Joe (Faye) deGraffenreid, Jr., Devona (Tommy) Haile, John (Pat) deGraffenreid, and Paul (Shirley) deGraffenreid, and several extended family and friends. The Life Celebration service will be on Wednesday, September 25, 2013, at 12:30pm, at West Harpeth Funeral Home with interment to follow at Middle TN Veterans Cemetery with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to the Wounded Warrior Project or Alive Hospice. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4-8pm, and on Wednesday from 10am until the service time at WEST HARPETH FUNERAL HOME, 6962 Charlotte Pike; 352-9400
