Claudia Sweeney

Claudia Jo Sweeney of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on February 10th, 2023, at the age of 69 years old. Claudia was born on June 24th, 1953, to parents, Joe and Mazzie Pentecost. She was a person who would give the shirt off her back, if need be. She was often known for providing gifts of clothing and anything new mothers around the neighborhood would need; even planning baby showers. She often donated to Saint Jude and would drop anything to be at her grandchildren’s sides if they asked her to. She loved going shopping and striking up conversations with her family while sitting around on the porch outside. Claudia was loved by all who got to know her and will be missed by so many.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, Donald Sweeney; As well as her parents; Two sisters, Elaine Newman and Jean Pentecost; and two brothers, George and Woody Pentecost.

She is survived by her only daughter, Victoria Sweeney; Grandchildren, Bryan Moulton, Brianna Moulton, Kira Hensley, Austin Hensley; Great grandchildren, Luna Moulton, KJ Turner, Amelia Sekela, Kayson Turner; Sisters, Joanne Hardgroves, Dee Ricketts; And close family friend, Michelle Welden.

Visitation will be held on February 19th, at West Harpeth Funeral Home, from 12-6pm and again on February 20th, from 10-1pm with a service starting at 1pm. Burial to follow at Harpeth Hills Memorial Gardens.
