Claudie Phillips was born July 9, 1928 and died at his home October 16, 2019. He was a member of the Church of Christ and lived his faith by being a loving husband, good father, a gentleman, a patriot and having a generous and faithful spirit.
His professional life included serving in the army in Germany, working as a fireman at Metro Nashville, and founding Phillips Auction and Realty. He also retired from HUD as a construction analyst for disaster control.
He was preceded in death by his wife and sweetheart, Carol Alan Nokes Phillips. They had 64 happy years together.
Also preceded in death by his sisters Jessie, Georgia, Catherine; brothers William (Buddy), Paul, and his identical twin Audie who he lost at age 11. Also parents Annie Wheeler and Poley Plummer.
Survivors are son Greg (Carol Ann). Edward (Lana), Michelle, Jackson, Eli, Hayden, Hudson. Also, Jacob, Hannah,Abby Wiser.
Daughter Jennifer (Robert). Beth and David Cox and great grands Kiley, Bailey, Ashlynn. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephew, classmates from Cohn High School and special niece, Teresa Marrero. A special thanks to his caretaker, Regina.
A Celebration of Life will be on Monday, October 21, 2019, at 1PM, at West Harpeth Funeral Home on Charlotte with Darrell Blankenship officiating. Interment will follow next to his wife, Carol at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
Visitation with the family will be on Sunday from 1PM until 5PM, and on Monday from 12PM until the service time at 1PM, both at West Harpeth Funeral Home, 6962 Charlotte Pike.
