Clyde McClain Himes - Age 76, went to be with the Lord on March 15, 2017. He worked at CSX railroad most of his life, and was a member of Charlotte Heights Church of Christ (West Nashville Heights).

Clyde is preceded in death by his first wife, Bobbie Spann Himes; parents, Elgin "Dick" and Lorene Macklin Himes; brother, Herman Carl Hines.

Survived by wife, Francis Himes; sons, Gary (Tammye) Whitaker and Kevin Himes; brothers, George Melvin, Larry Richard (Nancy) Himes of Camden, TN; sisters, Mary (Sam) Walkup of Pegram, Lucille (Willard) Melton of Waverly, Claudine (Brad) Upchurch of Hurricane Mills, Peggy (Russ) Nichols of Charleston, S.C.; sister in law, Janice Hines of Clarksville; half brother, Jackie (Joan) Clark of Owasso, MI; step brother, Sam (Joyce) Bumpus of Nashville; grandchildren, Matthew Whitaker, Tyler (Rebecca) Whitaker, Courtney Himes, Zachry Himes, seven great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Whitaker, Tyler Whitaker, Zachry Himes, Todd Lloyd, Curtis Spann, and Doug Joslin.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 20, 2017 from 11:00am until the service time at 2:00pm with Brother Clifford Dobbs officiating at West Harpeth Funeral Home, 6962 Charlotte Pike. Interment will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to Sherry's Run.
