Mr. David Scott Simon

David Simon, age 58, of Antioch, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at Saint Thomas West Hospital surrounded by his family. David was born on August 31, 1961 in Bristol, VA to the late Oscar Franklin Simon and Peggy Joanne Poff Simon.

David was a loving husband, brother, and friend. He was proud to be from Catonsville, MD., and was a member of the graduating class of Catonsville Senior High School in 1979. He attended the University of Maryland and received a Bachelor Degree from Aurora Illinois University. David enjoyed fishing and restoring classic cars. He was a talented musician and songwriter and leaves behind many good friends in the music and entertainment industry.

David was known for his compassionate heart and generous demeanor. He was both a student and teacher of music theory and practices. David enjoyed helping others discover their musical talents and was known to encourage friends and strangers alike to become better at whatever musical pathway they undertook.

He is survived by his loving wife of 5 years, Susan Simon; Brother Lewis Simon; and dear friends Ernie Sykes, Darren & Vicky Long, and many more adoring friends and family. David was proceeded in death by his mother Peggy Simon and father Oscar Simon of Bristol, VA.

Please come and celebrate David's life with a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 1:00PM. A reception and time of reflection will follow the service.
