NASHVILLE - Donna Jean (Keyes) Clem, 69, of Nashville died on August 29, 2020
Donna was born in Nashville on November 8, 1950, and was proud to call Music City home for her entire life.
Donna was a graduate of Hillwood High School. After graduating she worked at the Sunday School Board. She soon married her husband of 49 years Billy R. Clem, who at that time was active in the U.S. Army. Shortly after marriage he was deployed to Germany where they spent two years as newlyweds in the small town of Bamberg. During their time there they enjoyed the culture and traveled to Austria, France and Switzerland.
Upon her return to the U.S. she worked at a company called Retailers before she opted to be a stay-at-home wife and mother to three daughters. When her youngest started kindergarten she returned to the workforce. She proudly served as the scheduler at Centennial Surgery Center for over 20 years -where she not only worked but, made many wonderful friendships with both staff and doctors before retiring in 2018.
Donna was an avid sports fan, concert goer and flea market shopper. She loved gatherings where she could visit family and entertain everyone with her humorous stories. She always wore a smile and had a truly infectious laugh. Donna never met a stranger and was the best friend a person could ever ask for. The title she wore proudest was that of "Nana" to her 3 grandsons.
Donna is survived by her loving husband Billy R. Clem; their 3 daughters Angela Webb (Joseph), Jennifer Clem and Kristen Clem; grandsons Tucker Webb (15), Noah Webb (10) and Kaden Robinson (1); sister Beverly Hunter (Dave); brother Glenn Keyes (Cyndy), many loving nieces and nephews and several good friends.
Donna is preceded in death by her parents Don and Irene Keyes.
In lieu of flowers, family requests that donations be made in her name to St. Jude Children's Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
A memorial celebration of Donna's life will be held on Sunday, November 8.
