Doris Waddey

Doris Ann Waddey, 88, of Nashville, passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2021. She was born on October 2, 1933 to the late John William and Nila Maynard Dixon, Sr. Gardening was her passion, and you could always often find her tending to her flowers.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mickey Waddey; brother, James (Evelyn) Dixon; niece, Mary; and nephew, Glenn.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her brother, John “Butch” (Alice) Dixon, Jr.; 6 nephews; special niece, Gale Perry; and a host of extended family members.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM at West Harpeth Funeral Home located at 6962 Charlotte Pike in Nashville. Additional visitation will be on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 from 9:00AM until 9:30AM at the funeral home. A funeral service will begin at 9:30AM with the Reverend Dale Mills officiating. Following the service, Doris will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
