HEDGE, Dorothy "Dot" Neely,
Age 91, born May 20, 1923 in Nashville, passed away peacefully August 12, 2014 at Lakeshore - Heartland Nursing Home, where she was lovingly cared for by both the staff at Lakeshore and Avalon Hospice.
Preceded in death by husband, George Robert Hedge and parents, Alton and Mamie Neely.
She was a member of the Charlotte Avenue and Charlotte Heights Churches of Christ.
Mama Dot was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She loved her family dearly and she will be greatly missed.
She and her husband Robert enjoyed going on camping trips with family and friends, and vacationing in Gatlinburg.
She is survived by children, Patsy H. Dean (David), Bill R. Hedge (Carolyn); grand-children, Brad Dean (LeaAnne), Jason Dean (Stacy), Valerie Ott (Philip) and Julie Perry, great-grandchildren, Kimmie Dean, Brittany Dean, Kyle Dean, Logan Dean, Brady Robert Dean, Nathan Ott, Noah Ott, Isabella Ott, Ava Perry and Adelynn Perry.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Saturday August 16, 2014 at West Harpeth Funeral Home with Karl Craun officiating. Interment will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Brad Dean, Jason Dean, David Dean, Bill Hedge, Lynn Neely and Bob Hart.
Visitation will be Friday, 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. until service time at 10 a.m. at WEST HARPETH FUNERAL HOME 6962 Charlotte Pike www.westharpethfh.com
