Dwanda Hill, of West Nashville, affectionately known as "Puggie" or "Nannie", passed from this life on Monday, May 17, 2021, surrounded by her loving family, after a brief battle with cancer.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Hiram and Odell Campbell, and her husband, John Hill. She is survived by her son, Andy (Sonya) Linamen and daughter, Lwanda Bull; grandsons, Brad Linamen, and Brandon Bull; great grandson, Skylar Linamen; sister, Bernadine "Nadine" Taylor; brother, Bud (Ruth) Campbell; sister, Rita Callis; and several devoted nieces and nephews.
Puggie was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, even if she did not know them. She loved her family, her friends, dancing, and going to the Casino. She was well known for her love of children and decorating her home for every holiday.
A Celebration of her life will be Thursday, May 20, 2021, at 10AM, at West Harpeth Funeral Home on Charlotte Pike with Jim Clark and David Campbell officiating. Interment will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Brad Linamen, Skylar Linamen, Brandon Bull, Darrell Keith Hill, Steve Wood, Ronnie Dean Callis, and Steven Monahan. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kirk Taylor, Willis Craft, Jess Percival, and John Daniel.
Visitation with the Hill family will be on Wednesday from 3PM until 8PM, and on Thursday from 9AM until the service time at 10AM, both at West Harpeth.
