Edward Wayne "Bubba" Tant

Edward Wayne “Bubba” Tant of Nashville passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at the age of 69. He was born in Nashville on August 20, 1955, to Paul and Betty Tant. Bubba was a graduate of Bellevue High School. He was a devoted father and loved the Lord with all of his heart. He deeply loved his grandkids and cherished attending their sports events. Bubba’s passion for working on cars led him to work as a mechanic at Mid-Tenn Ford for 30 years. His dedication for serving others was displayed through his 42-year career with the Nashville Fire Department. 

Bubba was preceded in death by his father, Paul Edward Tant; and sister, Paula Jenkins.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 50 years, Paula; children, Josh (Melissa) Tant, Derek (Keely) Tant, and Amy (Kyle) Baker; mother, Betty Tant; brother, Mark (Brenda) Tant; grandchildren, Jenna, Lucy, Owen, Olivia, Jackson, Hank, Margaret, Houston, Elizabeth, Kaiden, and Brooks; and a host of extended family members and beloved friends. 

The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 22, 2024, from 1:00PM until 5:00PM at West Harpeth Funeral Home located at 6962 Charlotte Pike in Nashville. Additional visitation will be held from 9:00AM until 10:00AM at the Funeral Home on Monday, December 23, 2024, with services to begin in the Chapel at West Harpeth at 10:00AM. Following the service, Bubba will be laid to rest in the Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
