Elijah "Odie" Alexander Veach died at home in his grandmother's arms on November 20, 2017.

After falling victim to brain injuries from a car accident in which killed his mother and father, Betty and Logan Veach, he lived every day fighting for the life he lived eloquently and innocently. Dying only nine days before his 24th birthday, Eli leaves behind so many that were inspired by his continuous smile throughout his life.

Elijah is survived by his grandmother, Dorothy Sullivan (James Crow), and grandfather, Logan Veach. Siblings: Christy Cleland, Lee Veach, Damien Burks, and Audrey Meeks. Aunt Beverly Tomlin (Billy Tomlin). Nieces: Brittany Cleland and Sophia Veach. Nephews: David Cleland, Gunner Meeks, Brayden Meeks, and Ruston Meeks. Not mentioned are the many people that loved and supported him, most notably the staff at Harris Hillman, where he attended school for 22 years.

A celebration of Elijah's life will be held at 11:00 am, on Saturday, November 25, at West Harpeth Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. A gathering for family and friends will be on Friday, November 24, from 2-8 pm and on Saturday from 9:00 until the time of the service, at the funeral home.
