Elizabeth Collier

Elizabeth Jane Merrill Collier, born October 30, 1947 in Nashville, TN. Jane passed away April 28, 2018 at St. Thomas Hospital.
Jane is survived by her loving husband, Glynn Edward Collier of 42 years, and loving daughters, Dawn Collier Taylor (Chris Wall), Lynn Collier Trigg (Donnie Smith), Renae Collier Purdy; grandchildren, Meagan Elizabeth Pennycuff (Chase), Adam Glynn Trigg (Sidney Baker), Anna Grace and Collier Alan Purdy; brother, William Franklin Merrill (Debbie); nephew, William Paul Merrill (Julie); cousin Mary Coleman; special friends, Robbie Taylor, Nancy Parnell, Pattie Asbill; parents, Ralph Way and Louise Zimmerle Merrill.

Preceded in death by paternal grandparents; William Franklin and Evanalene Way Merrill; maternal grandparents, Louis and Louisa Heim Zimmerle.

Jane graduated from Hillwood High School and from Aquinas College with an RN degree in Nursing. She retired from St. Thomas Hospital West after 46 years of dedicated service.
Jane enjoyed time with her family and friends, card games, sewing, quilting, traveling, trying new foods, antiquing, reading and TV.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 3, 2018 at West Harpeth Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at West Harpeth Funeral Home.
