Eula Evans - Age 88 years, passed away December 31, 2013. She was a 1946 graduate of the Draughon's Business College and was active in continuing her education throughout her life. She was a dedicated Christian and member of the Westwood Baptist Church. She was active with the youth and puppet ministry with her husband Thomas, and was the church secretary. They lived at 4200 Murphy Road in the Sylvan Park neighborhood. Mrs. Evans retired from The Upper Room with 40+ years of dedicated service. She was a giving woman and had many hobbies including oil painting and sewing. She is preceded in death by husband, Thomas Evans; parents, Robert and Susie Johns; brother, Calvin Johns; sister, Grace Johns. Survived by sister, Doshia Chandler; children, Marsha Jarrett and Wayne Evans; grandchildren, Tommie-Lynn Henson, Emily Christen Raines, Sara Anne Raines, Jonathan Evans, Michael Evans, Jesse Hetherly, Nichole Glass, and Grayson Featherstone; 7 great grandchildren; niece, Becky Evans; and a host of other nieces and nephews. The Funeral service will be on Saturday, January 4, 2014, at 10am, at West Harpeth Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Marsha Jarrett, Joe Callis, Tommy Henson, Wayne Evans, Jonathan Evans and Michael Evans. Honorary pallbearers will be The Upper Room. Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Murfreesboro, TN. Visitation will be on Friday from 3-7pm, and on Saturday from 9am until the service time at WEST HARPETH FUNERAL HOME, 6962 Charlott Pike; 352-9400
