Evalina Harris

Evalina Roberts Harris, born January 17, 1941 (age 80) of Nashville, TN passed away December 31, 2021.  She is proceeded in death by her parents, James and Martha (Howell) Roberts; husband of 58 years, Comer Eugene Harris; siblings, John, Homer, Virginia, Charity, James, Carl, J.L., Lucy, and son-in-law Jeffrey Bunday.  Survivors include her children, Ricky (Darlene) Harris, Donald (Regina) Harris, Janice Bunday, and Sherry (Danny) Mabry; grandchildren, Brian (Tiffany) Harris, Matthew (Amanda) Mabry, Stephen Harris, Daniel (Andrea) Harris, Christopher (Katelyn) Mabry, Cassie Roseanna (Hollis) Mabry, and Rachel Holloway; great-grandchildren, Ethan Mabry, Brody Harris, Maci Mabry, Penelope Rojas, Claire Mabry, Colton Mabry, Emilia Rojas, twins on the way; and brother Robert Roberts.  She also leaves behind many more family members and friends.

Evalina loved her family and friends and loved to talk with them.  Her sense of humor was one of a kind and her laugh infectious.  She had a way of lighting up a room when she walked in and never met a stranger anywhere.  She was a homemaker and stay-at-home mom not only to her children and grandchildren but to several generations of neighborhood children who called her granny too.  She loved animals, especially dogs and feeding her squirrels.  She will be missed terribly by everyone and leave a hole in many hearts.

Visitation for Evalina Harris will be on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at West Harpeth Funeral Home, 6962 Charlotte Pike, Nashville, TN from 2-8 PM, and Wednesday, January 5th from 10 AM until her Celebration of Life Service at 12 PM.  Pastor Patrick Hamilton will be officiating.  Burial will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
