Faye Dowd

Faye Dowd- Age 86, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2020. She is preceded in death by her parents, Rev. W.A. & Roberta Layfield; sister, Inell Layfield, and her husband of 61 years, Reverend R.B. Dowd.

She is survived by her sons, Gary (Vickie) Dowd, Steve (Gracie) Dowd, Tim (Gina) Dowd, and David Dowd; grandchildren, Keith (Michelle) Dowd, Kevin Dowd, Mark (Nicole) Dowd, Marybeth (Brett) Ramsey, Derek Dowd, Drew (Taylor) Dowd, Callie Dowd, Will Dowd, Michael (Beth) Apperson, and Sarah Powell; great grandchildren, Elle Dowd, Luca Dowd, Connor Dowd, Brayden Dowd, Jonathan Dowd, Liv Dowd, Kori Apperson and Jack Apperson.

Faye served as a dedicated pastor's wife in many capacities. She was a member of Concord Community Church of the Nazarene. She retired from Trevecca Towers business office.

The family will receive friends via a mobile visitation on Saturday, May 30, 2020, from 9AM until 10AM, at West Harpeth Funeral Home on Charlotte Pike. The graveside service at Harpeth Hills will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Samaritan's Purse.

**What is a mobile visitation? This is just as it sounds. Friends will be directed once entering our parking lot by several of our staff members. From your vehicle, you will be able to sign the guestbook, receive a memorial brochure, visit very briefly with the family, and view Mrs. Dowd (If you choose) ALL from the comfort of your vehicle. With the COVID restrictions in Davidson County still being only at 25 people, this allows more flexibility with numbers, while still being able to pay your respects. We realize this is very different, but has worked very efficiently these past few months.
