Floyd Russell Freeman, Sr. - passed on to his new home in heaven on Tuesday, September 6, 2016, after a long bout with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife, Anita Boyd Freeman; son, Floyd Russell Freeman, Jr. (Therese); son, Ray Hall; daughter, Nancy Lynn Humphrey; mother, Pearl (Nancy) Freeman; sister, Hilda Sue Bellamy (Mark); sister in law, Jennie Freeman; 5 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild; and 4 nephews.

Floyd Russell was employed for many years as Facilities Director of the Gordon Jewish Community Center. He was a member of the Bellevue UMC and former member of St. John's UMC.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2016, at 2:00pm, at Bellevue United Methodist Church. Visitation will begin at 1:00pm. Graveside Services will be held in Poqouson, Virginia.
