CHERRY, HELEN DEICHMILLER .. Age 91 of Franklin, TN, passed away on December 6, 2012 in Franklin, TN. Mrs. Cherry is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Ellis Reed Cherry; son, Ronald Reed Cherry; father, Alvin Deichmiller; mother, Mary Blanche Stafford Deichmiller; brothers, Fred Deichmiller, Alvin Deichmiller, Jr and LeRoy Deichmiller. She is survived by daughters, Susan Rob Hosier, Gallatin, TN; Carol Keith Spencer, Las Vegas, NV; sons, Jon Gail Cherry, Fairview, TN; Robert Melinda Cherry, Franklin, TN; daughter-in-law, Nancy Cherry, Key West, FL; sisters, Mae Ferrell of Franklin, TN; Betty Veronick of Annapolis, MD; sisters-in law, Elizabeth Paul Isbell, Bolivar, TN; Betty Cherry, Jackson, TN; Grandchildren, Ronnie Lisa Cherry Jr, Dean Michelle Cherry, Brian Hosier, Jonathan Angela Cherry II, Joshua Cherry, Jessica Cherry, Jillian Cherry, David Buhl, Julia Cherry, Mark Cherry, Brent Cherry, Kayla Cherry, Jordan Coralis Spencer, Austin Spencer; great-grandchildren: Carly Cherry, Dean Cherry Jr, Zachary Ellis Cherry, Aaron Hosier, Christain Hosier, Brittany Yates, Lauren Yates. She was a dedicated homemaker and one of the finest examples of a nurturing Mother to five blessed children who called her Mom. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and was a wonderful example of a Christian in word and deed all her life. Special expression of thanks and gratitude to her church home visiting teachers, Jeanne Westbrook and Otis Peach and to her neighbors, Polly Wright, Jim and Judy Martin, and Keith and Debbie Wright, and to her special family members, John and Fran Cliff, all of Franklin, TN. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 17, from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 18 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation from 1-2 p.m. Burial will follow in Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St .Jude Children's Research Hospital www.stJude.org, Polycystic Kidney Disease Foundation www.pkdcure.org, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society www.lls.org, or the American Cancer Society www.cancer.org.
