Hilda Faye Chambliss, 79, of Lebanon, passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at her home. She was born in Davidson County, on November 29, 1942, to the late Houston Doris and Gracie Pearl Hunt. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, cooking, and playing cards. Hilda loved music, especially the Gaithers, and she loved to dance. She also liked spending time outside gardening, fishing, and traveling.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Clarice Roberta Whittle, Barbara Sue Hunt, and James Doris Hunt; daughter, Debra Renee Heathman; and grandchildren, Kevin Lee Highers, and Nathaniel Myles Smith.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving children, Kimberly Diane Hardin, Larry Preston (Tami) Chambliss, and Roger Dale (Molly) Chambliss; sisters, Sandra Biggers, Brenda Earhart, Ann (Lee) Green, and Cindy (Harold) Andrews; grandchildren, Brian Highers, Timothy Swinney, Brad Swinney, Thomas Cody Chambliss, April Smith, Daniel Smith, Jamie Barnes, Dillon Chambliss, and Rachel Phillips; a host of great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 3:00PM until 7:00PM on Friday, February 25, 2022, at West Harpeth Funeral Home located at 6962 Charlotte Pike in Nashville. Additional visitation will be held from 10:00AM until 12:00PM on Saturday, February 26, 2022, with a service to begin at 12:00PM. Hilda will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Memorial Park following the service.
