Ira D. King- Age 74, passed away January 11, 2019, after an extended illness. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving in the Army Security Agency (1963-1970), Veteran of the Desert Storm; TN 118th PAD, writer of articles and avid photographer. He retired from the State of TN after 37 years with the Air Pollution Control.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Wallis and Laverte King.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Frankie King; 2 sisters, Ina Johnson, of Columbus, MS, and Mary Ann Pennington, of Crofton, KY; 3 nieces, 2 nephews, multiple great nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

A Celebration of Life will be on Monday, January 14, 2019, at 11:00am, at West Harpeth Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be on Monday from 9:00am until the service time at 11:00am, both at West Harpeth Funeral Home, 6962 Charlotte Pike. (615) 352-9400.
