Dye, Jack Thompson, age 85, November 14, 2014.
Jack served in the U.S. Air Force in the Korean War before working for the U.S. Post office for 30 years retiring as a mail handler.
He worshipped the Lord faithfully with the Charlotte Heights Church of Christ through the years in Nashville and then the Leanna Church of Christ in Murfreesboro until his health failed. He loved his family, especially children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly. He loved to always get in a laugh as he talked with people.
Preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Barbara Lawrence Dye; parents, William Keathley and Annabelle Dye; sister, Nancy Dye; brother, K.W. Dye.
Survived by sons, Kevin Dye (Tammie), Wade Dye (Terry); brother, Charles W. Dye; grandchildren, Brittnea Yegros (Ale), Bethany Kachelman (Joe), Brad Dye (Julie); great-grandchildren, Alejandro Yegros, Ethan Kachelman and Caroline Dye.
The family expresses special thanks to all the staff at the VA in Murfreesboro for the loving care they provided for Jack these past 6 years.
The funeral service will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at West Harpeth Funeral Home with Darrell Blankenship officiating. Interment will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Charlotte Heights Church of Christ or Leanna Church of Christ, Brittnea Dye Missions.
