Brazzell, James Murphy, age 83. Passed away September 12, 2014. He served in the Army and was in the Korean War. He retired from Genesco after 35 years. He was an avid gardener and loved growing tomatoes.
Preceded in death by his wife, Vita Phillips Brazzell; daughter, Vickie Davis.
Survived by children, Diane (Larry) Condra, Regina (Donald) Harris, Teresa (David) Bridges and James Murphy Brazzell II; grandchildren, Larry "Punkin" Condra, Tracy (Jason) Perry, Edward Condra, Nickie Kerr, Andrea (Billy) Wilson, Amber Davis, Alan Davis, Aaron (Maggie) Davis, Brian (Tiffany) Harris, Stephen Harris, Brandon Bridges, Alyshia Fykes, Jessica (Kenneth) Locklear and Murphy Brazzell; 23 great grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at the Mary Queen of Angels for their love, support and special care over the past several years.
The service will be today at 2 p.m., Saturday, September 13, 2014 at West Harpeth Funeral Home with military honors.
A private interment will be held at the Middle TN Veterans Cemetery.
Grandsons and great-grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
