James " Ross" Calvin - Age 89, passed away January 6, 2019 in Madison, TN.

Mr. Calvin is preceded in death by his; parents, Hank Calvin, Cassie Wooten; daughter, Cathy Kelley (John); brothers, Bill Calvin, Hank Calvin, Jr.; sister, Shirley Holder, and grandson, Donnie Stahr.

He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Linda Calvin; children, Mike Calvin (Dawn), Steve Calvin, Tony Calvin, Chris Calvin, Michele Calvin, Sandi Stahr, Tammy Binkley-Vanatta (Eddie); grandchildren, Walker, Cody, Coley, Cassie, Coree, Amber, Michael Ross, Christen, Trey, Tamica, Stephanie, Ashley, Amber, and 22 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Calvin was a veteran of the United States Navy and was also on the Navy Boxing Team. Mr. Calvin was a dedicated Fire Captain for the Metro Nashville Fire Department where he worked for 36 years. before retiring. He was a loving devoted husband. He enjoyed spending time with all of his grandkids and great grandkids fishing and playing cards. He will be greatly missed and memories will be cherished by all who had the opportunity to ever knowing the living legend.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at West Harpeth Funeral Home with Eddie Vanatta officiating. Burial to follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.

Visitation with the family will be held on Monday from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. at West Harpeth Funeral Home.
