James W. Matthews, age 72 of White House passed away August 16, 2011. Mr. Matthews was preceded in death by his father, Clyde "Pappy" Matthews. He is survived by his wife, Betty Matthews; daughter, Kathy Taylor; son, James D. Matthews; daughter, Dottie Parr; son, Dwayne Matthews; son, Kevin Matthews; mother, Ada Matthews; 16 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Jo Holland; and brother, Ronnie Matthews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. and Thursday from 12-2 p.m. Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, August 18th at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Hendersonville Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Rose officiating.
