James Mclaughlin

James L. McLaughlin, age 85, went to his heavenly home on August 19th, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Alice McLaughlin. James was born in Allen, OK on Dec. 13th, 1928 to James Leroy and Eunice Mae McLaughlin. He spent his early life in Haven, KS with his four sisters Phyllis, Nellie, Verna and Letha Jo. James is survived by his sister Letha Jo Oldenettel of Haven, KS. James spent his early adult life working for Service Pipeline Oil Company, and Colonial Pipeline. He retired from Leggett and Platt in 1996. Survivors include his wife and four children, Michael L. (Brenda) McLaughlin of Ashland City, TN; Kenneth L. McLaughlin, of Atlanta, GA; Diana (Mike) Morris, of Ashland City, TN, and Paul (Angela) McLaughlin of Clarksville, TN, fourteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank his many caregivers over the years for their kindness and dedication to our father, and the kindness and understanding shown to his wife, Alice. A celebration of life service will be held by the family at a later date.
