Jean Vickous

Jean Evelyn Vickous of Nashville, TN, passed away on March 7th, 2023, at the age of 92 years old. She was born on April 19th, 1930, to parents, H.M. and Ruth Brooks. Jean enjoyed bird watching, crocheting, and spending her time reading a good book. She was also a lover of flowers. Jean graduated from Bowling Green High School and attended Austin Peay State University. After college, she dedicated her time to working as a physician’s administrator at the Frist Clinic in Nashville. She was of the Presbyterian faith and a lover of Jesus.

Jean is preceded in death by her Husband of 53 years, Harry H. Vickous; And her parents, H.M. and Ruth Brooks.

She is survived by her children, Stephen (Della) Vickous and Pamela (Tim) Haley; Along with her grandchildren, Jon Vickous, Matthew (Monica) Vickous, Adam (Robbie) Nicholson, Benjamin (Amy) Nicholson, Lauren (James) White, Dan (Denise) Haley; 10 great-grandchildren; and her beloved caregiver, Rhonda.

Visitation will be held at West Harpeth Funeral Home on March 15th, 2023, from 6-9pm and again the next day, on March 16th, 2023, from 12-1pm. Service will start at 1pm after the visitation on March 16th. Burial will be the same day at Harpeth Hills Memorial Gardens, following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Alive Hospice in Jean’s honor.
