Jessie Butler

Jessie Belle Butler passed away peacefully at 10:30 p.m. on June 5, 2023, at Lakeshore the Meadows Health Care Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Mrs. Butler was born on December 2, 1926 in Forrest City, Arkansas to James Sidney Burns and Mary Pearl Burns.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Dewey Leon Butler; her brother Robert Burns; sisters Bettye Sue Patridge, Estelle King, and Virginia Johnson; and her son, Richard Lee Butler.

She is survived by her daughters Rebecca Butler DeLaney of Franklin, Tennessee and Roberta Butler Regan of San Anselmo, California. Also surviving are grandsons Patrick DeLaney (Jaclyn) and Rob DeLaney (Sokhna), and granddaughter Lauren Ealy (Matt). She is also survived by her son-in-law William Bruce and several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are being handled by West Harpeth Funeral Home and Crematory, 6962 Charlotte Pike, Nashville, Tennessee. A service of remembrance will be held at a later date at Immanuel Baptist Church, 222 Belle Meade Blvd., Nashville, Tennessee.
