Jimmy Byford- Age 85 went to be with the Lord, surrounded by his loving family on March, 15, 2017. He was a devoted husband and father. Jimmy was raised in DeKalb County, and he loved going back and taking care of the cattle. He had served in the Korean Conflict. He owned his own furniture store and was also in real estate. He was a member of Richland Baptist Church and attended Bellevue Baptist Church and was in the Faith Bible Study Class.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Orvil Lee and Helen Murphy Byford, brother, Kennith Byford.

Jimmy is survived his loving wife of 62 years, Janette Byford; daughters, Rita Bratcher and Jennifer (Neal) Meledandri; grandchildren, Brad James Carlisle, Artie Meledandri, Matthew Carlisle, Loren McWright, Michael Bratcher; nine great grandchildren, the family would like to give special thanks to these caregivers, Julie Ketchum, Jerrettsa Venable, Nicole Morton, Jennifer Easter, Rebecca Lyn Rogers.

Pallbearers will be Brad James Carlisle, Artie Meledandri, Matthew Carlisle, Michael Bratcher, Neal Meledandri, Max McWright, Buddy Hood, and Odie Adcock.

The family will receive friends Friday, March 17, 2017 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm, and on Saturday from 12:00 until the service time at 1:00pm with Dr. Perry (Red) Michaels officiating at West Harpeth Funeral Home, 6962 Charlotte Pike. Interment will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Alzheimer's Association, alz.org.
