Born October 28, 1936, Joe passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, June 2, 2018.
He is survived by his daughter, Monica Jo Gower who he adored, Monica's significant other, Duke Fleming; sisters, Jane Gower Hulett, June Gower Gilmore (Michael A.); niece, Carol Shofner Preston; nephews, Michael W. Gilmore and Jeffery Malone, and grand-niece, Melea Gilmore.
He is preceded in passing by his loving wife Joy Gower; father Felix S. Gower, Jr.; mother, Jenny Hunt Gower and sister, Berry Ann Gower Cordes.
He will be greatly missed by all those who life's he touched with his kindness, generosity, business savvy and all around good friend. Joe was a man of his word, if he said he'd do it, he did it and if you became a friend, you were a friend for life. Joe Gower simply put, "Good People". He will be missed.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at West Harpeth Funeral Home. Entombment to follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
Visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at West Harpeth Funeral Home.
