BAUM, John Edward Jack of Nashville, TN passed away June 9, 2011. Born on November 15, 1922 he was raised in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Lillian Baum. He is survived by his brother Russell Carolyn Baum, Walnut Creek, CA; his wife of 61 years Charlotte Oviatt Baum; children, Judith Michael Foltz, Knoxville, TN, Elizabeth Clay McCullough, John Cindy Baum, Jr., Charlotte Tommy Ferguson; grandchildren, Erin Russ Bagwell, Ryan Foltz both of Knoxville, Elizabeth Pepe Limon, John Baum, III., Zachary Baum and Charlotte Fjetland; great grandchildren, Lilly and Emma Bagwell, Diego and Dante Limon. An avid golfer Jack was a long time member of Hillwood Country Club and a communicant of St. George's Episcopal Church. A WW II veteran he was a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy where he served as a fighter pilot. Jack's passion for music led him to New York City where he studied Voice at the Julliard School. The family wishes to thank the staff of St. Thomas Hospital and Alive Hospice for the wonderful care extended to him during the time of his illness. Visitation will be held in Hampton Hall at St. George's Episcopal Church, 4715 Harding Rd, Nashville, TN on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at 10:00 am. A memorial service will follow at 11:30 am in the church with The Reverend Tim Jones and The Reverend Roger Senechal officiating. In lieu of flowers the family asked that memorial gifts be made to St. George's Episcopal Church or Alive Hospice.
