John Patrick Kennedy, age 63 of Nashville, passed away on April 27 at Alive Hospice after a 3 year battle with brain cancer. He was known as Jack to most. He was born on October 24, 1950 in Chicago, Illinois. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Helen Kennedy. He is survived by his wife, Chong Hui; daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Dean Long; son, John Paul Kennedy; granddaughter Savannah Long; brother and sister in law, Robert and Mary Kennedy; niece Erin Kennedy and nephew Brian Kennedy. Jack served for the US Army for 20 years and retired as a CW3 officer. He was a self employed mechanic who loved cars, collecting coin, and was an active gun enthusiast. Visitation will be held at West Harpeth Funeral Home on Thursday, May 1st from 4-8pm with Rosary at 7pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 2nd at 9am at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery.
