Jonas Avrit, Jr.

Jonas Avrit, Jr., 61, of West Nashville, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2024. He was born in Nashville on May 12, 1963. In his earlier days, Jonas liked motorcycles and watching wrestling. More recently he enjoyed sitting on the back porch listening to his radio and going riding with his friends and family. Jonas was a big goofball and loved joking and making people laugh.

Jonas was preceded in death by his father, Jonas "Bill" Avrit, Sr.; and stepfather, Norman Jones.

He is survived by his daughters, Candy Raye, Crystal Roberts, and Christy Avrit; mother, Roberta Jones; grandchildren, Katalayah, Khamari, and Kyngsleigh Raye, and Nevaeh Roberts; stepsiblings, Diane Kirby, Rhonda Rives, and Paul Jones; and a host of extended family members and beloved friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 21, 2024, from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at West Harpeth Funeral Home. Additional visitation will be held at the Funeral Home from 10:00AM until the 11:00AM service time on Friday, November 22, 2024. Following the service, Jonas will be laid to rest in the Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens on Highway 100.
