Judy Redmond

Judith Ann Redmond, 79, of Nashville, passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2023. A lifelong resident of Nashville, she was born on July 13, 1943, to the late Dave Tanner and Bessie Johnson Redmond. Judy graduated from Cohn High School in 1961. She was instrumental in the coordination of Cohn High School Alumni Events. She also served as the Director of the Senior Renaissance Center where she was the Activities Coordinator for 15 years. She exercised every day, even leading chair exercise classes at the SRC. Judy was a member of the West Nashville Kiwanis Club. She also loved traveling and going to Florida. She also loved music and dancing. Judy was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She took care of her parents in their older years. She loved making her brother, Eddy, laugh and smile. She enjoyed spending time with Eddy’s dachshunds as well. Judy liked spending time with her family, friends, and neighbors.

In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her brother, David Lee “Schoochie” Redmond.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving brother, William “Eddy” (Edie) Redmond; sister-in-law, Betty P. Redmond; nieces, Lee Ann (Anthony) Hanna and Lou (Chuck) Cox; nephew, Tom (Kari) Redmond; and a host of great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 29, 2023, from 12:00PM until 6:00PM at West Harpeth Funeral Home located at 6962 Charlotte Pike in Nashville. Additional visitation will be held on Monday, January 30, 2023, from 9:00AM until 11:00AM at the Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 11:00AM with Joey M. Clark officiating. Following the Service, Judy will be laid to rest in the Spring Hill Cemetery.
