Kathy (Olivia Kathleen) Scott passed away October 27, 2013 in Nashville, Tennessee, after a brief illness. Kathy was born August 24, 1949 in Shreveport to Katherine and Clayton Scott, Jr. She had lived in Franklin, Tennessee for the last 23 years.
Kathy was a graduate of Byrd High School and Northeast University in Monroe. She was a medical technologist at Willis Knighton in Shreveport and Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital, formerly Baptist Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. Kathy loved to travel and was also a certified travel agent specializing in cruises.
Her mother, Katherine Scott, preceded Kathy in death. She is survived by her father, Clayton Scott Jr.; brother, Scotty and his wife, Carolyn; nieces, Alicia McClure and husband, Daniel; Merideth Boyd and husband, Montana; nephew, Clay Scott and wife Shelby; and three great-nieces and one great-nephew. Kathy especially loved and will be missed by her faithful canine companion, Skipper.
Kathy's family would like to express sincere gratitude to Kathy's coworkers at Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital who helped care for her. A very special appreciation is extended to all Kathy's friends who so lovingly attended to her every need during her illness.
Memorials may be made in Kathy's name to Providence House, 814 Cotton Street, Shreveport, LA 71101.
