Larry William Mullens, beloved son, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on September 23, 2023, at the age of 83. He was born on July 20, 1940, in his hometown of Nashville, Tennessee. Larry was a kind and gentle soul who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Larry graduated from Cohn High School and went on to pursue a job working for the State of Tennessee. However, one of his greatest passions was golfing.
Larry's warm and friendly nature endeared him to everyone he met. He had an incredible ability to make people feel at ease in his presence with his genuine smile and caring demeanor. Larry's dedication to his family was unwavering. He adored his daughters and cherished every moment spent with them. His role as a father filled him with pride, and he provided unwavering support and love throughout their lives.
Larry will be deeply missed by his surviving family members: Lorrie (Jerry) Clouse, his loving daughter; Tiffany Baird, his beloved granddaughter; Aaron Baird, his cherished grandson; as well as four great-grandchildren. Their memories of Larry will forever hold a special place in their hearts.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents James and Margaret Mullens; His daughter, Cathy White; and sister, Helen Richardson.
To honor Larry's memory and celebrate the beautiful life he lived, visitation services will be held at West Harpeth Funeral Home in Nashville on September 29th from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Additional visitation services will take place on September 30th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM. The final moments of farewell will be observed at the Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens for the burial at 2:30 PM.
Although Larry may no longer be with us in person, his spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all those whose lives he touched. He will forever be remembered for his kindness, love, and zest for life.
