Leola Mitchell

Leola Mitchell, age 89 of Gallatin passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2009. A native of Sumner County, she was born to the late Eddie and Lucy Huntsman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Delmer Mitchell; grandson, Mark Sumner Franklin; brother, Olo Huntsman; and sister, Lassie Huntsman. She is survived by her daughter, Patsy Franklin Tom of Chattanooga; son, Eddie L. Mitchell Fredia of Gallatin; granddaughter, Joy Heitt Jason of Nashville; great-grandchildren, Ellis and Sumner Heitt both of Nashville; brother, Eddie Huntsman of Texas; sisters, Vassie Scott Stan of Indianapolis, IN, and Lola Bruce of Gallatin. Funeral service will be conducted on Monday, October 19 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Gallatin Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Gallatin Memory Gardens at Crestview. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will begin on Sunday, October 18, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. and will resume on Monday, October 19, at 1:00 p.m. until service time.
