Leona Mae Yost Hoot- Age 95, born on April 4, 1922, in Smithfield, WV, passed away August 9, 2017. She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Hoot.

She is survived by her sons, Bradley (Cathy) Hoot and Howard Hoot; grandchildren, Michelle Hoot and David Hoot; great grandchild, Courtney Hoot.

She was known for her knitting skills and her love of reading; in her youth, she enjoyed big band music and dancing, and always loved a good cup of coffee.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 14, 2017, from 5:30pm until 7:30pm, in the Celebration Hall of West Harpeth Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to the March of Dimes.
