Lester Jackson

JACKSON, Lester "J.R." - Age 51 years, passed away June 1, 2014. He is remembered by many as the chief chef at the Belle Meade cafeteria, in a passing era. His skills at cooking and painting were unsurpassed, and his legacy lives on in the memory of many fabulous meals he prepared for family and friends (and for those in need when he had the opportunity to do so). Preceded in death by parents, Lester Jackson, Sr., and Margaret Whidby; sister, Barbara Jackson. Survived by wife, Sharon Jackson; children, Melissa (Ray) Bell, Lester (Alice) Jackson, Ashley (Ronnie) and Jordan Jackson; siblings, Ruby (Mike Bentley) Boyd, Rita (Bobby) Martin, Troy Jackson, and Lester Michael Jackson; grandchildren, Hannah Smith, Nicholas Bell, Sophia Jackson, and Bryson Bell. The Life Celebration service will be Thursday, June 5, 2014, at 5pm at West Harpeth Funeral Home with David Estes officiating. Cremation will follow the service.
