Lura Elizabeth (Craft) Skalka, age 79, went to be with the Lord this Christmas Eve morning, December 24, 2015. She loved her family and friends fiercely, and she enjoyed her career as a dental assistant, and being a member of Brook Hollow Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by her parents, Lee Roy and Vallie Mae Garrett Craft; husband, Joseph Skalka; son, Gary Michael Hinson; sister and brother in law, Geraldine and Joe Reese; brothers, Estel Craft and Norman Craft; former husband, Carl Hinson; granddaughter, Meredith Roben Hinson; brother in law, Jim Annable.

Survived by children Julie Skalka (John) Martin; Larry Jason (Lisa) Hinson; grandchildren, Heather Hinson, Jason (Lindsey) Hinson, Heath (Madeline) Hinson, Joshua (Meredith) Martin, Katie Martin; six great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild; sisters, Jan Malik and Sandra Annable; brother, Randall (Betty) Craft; special friends, Ken Massey and Ernestine (William) Baird.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, December 28, 2015, at 2:00pm, at West Harpeth Funeral Home with The Reverend Tom Gholson officiating. Interment will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Visitation will be on Saturday from 4:00pm until 8:00pm, and on Monday at 11:00am until the service time at West Harpeth Funeral Home.
